We're already a good way into the MLB lockout and there are still some major unsigned free agents. That list includes former Cubs third baseman and utility player, Kris Bryant. Kris Bryant was one of the last key players from the 2016 World Series team and he was traded to the San Francisco Giants at the trade deadline in 2021. Supposedly, the Giants were not too happy with his performance and skills and ended up letting him walk. With that being said, here are 3 potential landing spots for the former Cub.
#1 - Chicago Cubs

It has been widely rumored that you could see him sign again with the Cubs this offseason. With Javy going to the Tigers and a mild beef with Rizzo, Bryant is the only one of the trio they could sign this offseason. Despite the rumors going around the internet about Bryant not being a fan of the Cubs, it has been very apparent that he enjoyed his time, specifically in the video where he finds out about the trade.
#2 - New York Mets

The Mets are in need of solid players. After a disappointing 2021 season, they could use a star third baseman and an extra utility player in Kris Bryant.
#3 - Arizona Diamondbacks

Yes, this is quite the longshot, but after letting Eduardo Escobar go, they are in great need of a third baseman. With a struggling outfield and team as a whole, they could make great use out of the former Cub's star.
